Donation Refund Policy

1. When we will refund

Duplicate transaction: the same donation was accidentally charged more than once.

Incorrect amount: a clear typing error (for example ₹50,010 instead of ₹5,001) reported promptly.

Unauthorised transaction: a payment you did not authorise, reported to us and your bank without delay.

2. How to request one

Email info@protectthepawsfoundation.org within 7 days of the transaction with your name, donation date, amount, and the payment reference ID from your receipt. We may ask for basic verification to protect donors from fraud.

3. Processing

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method through our payment gateway, typically within 7–10 working days. If a tax receipt was already issued for the refunded donation, it stands cancelled and must not be used for any tax claim.

4. Recurring donations

You may cancel a monthly or annual donation at any time; cancellation stops future charges but past instalments, already applied to our programs, are not refunded except in the situations listed above.

5. Why donations are otherwise final

Funds are committed quickly — to fuel, medicines, surgeries and food. Treating donations as final lets us act the moment an animal needs us, and keeps our accounting clean for the audits that protect every donor.
